What are my responsibilities as a Surgical Volunteers International Volunteer?
All volunteers are expected to act in a professional manner during all trips and adhere to all the standards set forth by Surgical Volunteers International. As we are a grassroots organization, we ask that all volunteers book their own travel to the mission site. We will then provide transportation, meals and lodging assistance during the mission.
Are we required to attend the full duration of a mission?
Yes, we ask all volunteers to attend the full duration of a mission. Volunteers are welcome to explore the country where the mission is occurring, but we ask that all personal travel be scheduled after the mission is complete. All personal travel is the responsibility of the volunteer.
I am not able to attend mission trips but would still like to volunteer with the organization. Are there opportunities to do that?
Yes, we are always looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of the surgical missions, including preparations for the surgical camps, fundraising, and marketing. Please send an email to email@example.com with your CV/resume and area of interest.
