There are many people, especially children, who do not have money to get expensive surgeries performed on them to live a healthy life. This surgical mission is designed to bring teams of healthcare professionals from different parts of the world together to provide for the surgical needs of patients in Kerala, India, who do not have the resources necessary to access and get their surgical needs completed. We are doing different types of surgeries related to gynecology, pediatrics, general surgery, and plastic surgery for children, like cleft palate, hypospadias, inguinal hernia, etc. The surgical mission is being conducted by Let Them Smile Again in association with Rev. George Mathen Medical Mission Hospital.

Fall 2024
Penonomé, Panama

This will be our second mission to Hospital Aquilino Tejeria. This hospital is located in the Colce region of Penonomé. Our plan is to perform specialty surgical procedures. We will bring a team of volunteers to the hospital and set up a surgical camp to perform free procedures to correct congenital and acquired deformities of the head and neck, hand, gastrointestinal, and urologic systems. We will also work with our partner organizations, The Prescribing Life Foundation and the Lions Club associations in Panama to perform medical screening, dental care and treatment of chronic pain conditions. While in Penonomé we plan to continue to participate in supporting local programs that assist children in need and the indigenous community.
